Water aerobics has been fun lately. One of the instructors is a little tougher and has been changing it up quite a bit. She makes it more of a challenge which is fun and it for sure makes for a better workout! I was actually a little sore this morning which is a nice feeling in a way. It lets me know that it's working. We are going back tonight and it is the same girl so I'm hoping she will be a little tough again....
I love artwork. Always have and always will. I would love to own one REALLY nice piece of artwork before I die. I stumbled upon a site that has some beautiful pieces that have left me drooling and wishing I could win the lottery and create my dream art house. I love the framed art on this site. There are some sculptures that I would love to have and the Harley Davidson iron art is quite amazing. The site is easy to navigate, has a wide selection, and accepts several forms of payment. They also offer free shipping which is a HUGE plus to me. I hate when you go to a site and spend a ton of money and then get ridiculous shipping charges on top of it. One thing that would be awesome is if they could create a wish list type feature where you could select items to put in your wish list and then other people could buy them for you for gifts. That would be awesome. I would have a wish list full of stuff.
Here is a picture of one of my favorite pieces. I think they would look awesome in my office. This piece is called The Dew Group. I just love it.
Well the new person thing has worn off. I of course didn't sleep well last night so I'm back to being tired. I am taking a new medicine that gives me some crazy dreams! Last night I dreamed that my boss was throwing a fit about wanting icecream. So I kept taking her ice cream and no matter what it wasn't the right kind. So I ended up having like 100 melting ice cream cones and none of them were what she wanted. I finally got her the right kind and she had fallen asleep and I couldn't wake her up to eat it. How weird is that... I don't understand my dreams. But I sure wish I could go home and take a nap!
Well now that I know I'm getting a baby I'm starting the great baby supply hunt! Shockingly for being so little babies seem to need a lot of stuff. And it all adds up. So I'm trying to find some great deals and one way to do that is to buy direct wholesale. I found a great site www.rockbottomprices.com that has a highchair that I really like. It's the Evenflo Majestic High Chair . It has all the features that I want in a high chair but it also comes in the Hudson Bay motif. I like that one because it's neutral and more modern looking. I don't want a bunch of cartoon character things all over my house. Sorry I just don't. The best part is that the wholesale price is only $61.60. That's a great deal! Now I have to decide if I'm going to go ahead and order it or not... Decisions, decisions....
Oh my gosh I slept 8 1/2 hours last night! I woke up this morning feeling like a new person. I haven't felt this good in weeks! It's amazing what an adequate amount of sleep will do for you. I really think if I could get 7 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep every night I would get so much more done during the day. Sometimes I'm so tired I just function but don't really accomplish much. I have gotten more done this morning than I have in three days combined. That's impressive to me. So get some sleep my dear readers. It's good for ya!
I'm so tired! Monday's are such long days for me. Classes and the drive just take it out of me. My head is just throbbing and I'm so tired and it's only 8:45. I seriously think I'm gonna go to bed now because my head ache is making it hard to keep my eyes open... I wonder if I'm getting a migraine.. That would be a bad deal!
Looks like I have a busy day tomorrow too. Lots going on at work and I have so much homework this week. I'm gonna have to start on it tomorrow so I can get it all done. YUCK! But the pay off is that American Idol is on tomorrow night so maybe that can be my reward for a crappy couple days...
Tomorrow Marisa will be hosting the Postie Carnival. I'm looking forward to once again visiting some great blogs! This time the focus of the carnival will be on pets/animals. I had to submit a post about my crazy Lena dog. So make sure you take the time to visit Marisa's Dandelion Patch and enjoy the carnival!
Well there is some big news going on over at PayPerPost. They aren't announcing what it is yet. They are waiting a couple more weeks I guess. So that means that for several more weeks my mind gets to wonder... And sometimes my mind is kinda like a bad neighborhood, I just shouldn't go there alone. But PayPerPost has left me no other choice. I must try to figure out what the news could be.... So after much debate I think I know what the news is....
Tamale, my favorite PayPerPost girl is the subject of the big announcement. I just have a very strong suspicion that they are going to announce that she is pregnant with Brad Pitt's newest love baby. I just have a feeling about it... I noticed on the Rock Start Up episode I showed you all the other day that she just seemed to be glowing. And she was craving truffles. So it must pregnancy! And who else could the babies daddy be!
The great news is that Tamale loves her job so much I just know she will come back to work after she has the love baby. And I bet that we will start getting all kinds of opps about Brad. We could do opps about his movies, all his children, his charity work, heck he is a two time People magazine sexiest man alive! We have to do an opp about that.
So Tamale thanks for making my day! I just know that I've got the big announcement figured out. I'm good like that.
Well my crazy fun aunts came to visit for the weekend. We had to celebrate Heather's 20th birthday! I can't believe she is 20 but she is. So of course we celebrated with too much food and tons of laughing. I laughed more last night then I have in weeks. Maybe it burnt off the calories from the extra food. We played Mexican train dominos for hours and had a great time. Since we don't keep score I have no clue who won but boy it was a good time.
This morning we all went to church bright and early. Afterwards we went to breakfast and then came home and played more dominos. We are a mexican domino playing family I guess. They all headed home about 30 minutes ago. Now it's kinda quiet but not to bad. Heather and Kelci are still hear so it won't get real quiet for a couple more hours.
The aunts did mention that they read the blog every day and have noticed I haven't been posting as regularly. So I'm really going to try and get back on it this week every day. Sorry for the not so regular updates....
I've always loved reality tv. There is nothing more entertaining to me than a good reality show. I've watched them all! I loved The Real World, Big Brother, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, WifeSwap, The Bachelor, and Survivor. There have been others that I've watched and loved but I'm not listing them all. Reality TV is just fun to me. I think it's cool to watch real people on TV. I don't know why but I just like it. And lets get real I'm a little obsessed about them.
So lucky for me PayPerPost now has it's own reality show. They post new episodes on a regular basis. My favorite episode has to be episode eleven. This episode is about the PayPerPost biggest loser challenge. The Biggest Loser is one of my all time favorite shows so watching the PayPerPost folks try to lose the weight will be fun to watch. From watching the episode it seems that Britt and Tamale are off to a decent start. Well at least they have a plan. Hopefully they will be able to get on track with the plan and we can see what great success they have.
My dad made chili for dinner tonight! It was soooo good. It's been a long time since I've ate something he has cooked. Now that he is married to Cricket she usually cooks or Heather and I do. But he is really a great cook. He makes the best chili in the world. He also makes really good bbq chicken. I could keep him around for awhile longer. I like coming home to an already cooked meal!
www.healthadel.com is sponsoring this post and they want me to review their site. This is a pretty helpful health site in my opinion. There are quite a few useful articles like this one called,Does Homeopathic Medicine Work. There is also some helpful information about Type II Diabetes. The search feature on the site is good and there are several categories you can access. I think there are still some medical conditions, illnesses, etc. that could be added to their database but overall the site is helpful and informative. It is important to note that the site is fairly new so they are really off to a good start. I also appreciate that the informatino is presented in a way that a regular person can understand. No huge medical terms that would make it hard to follow. So my advice is that this site is good for your health!
I feel like I'm on one of those wacky spinning rides at the amusement park. You know those rides where you are standing still and everything is spinning all around you. I always think I'm gonna throw up when the ride is over. That's kinda what my life is like right now.
So many things going on and I'm just trying to stay in one place and keep from losing my lunch. I hate having so much going on at once. School is crazy busy! I have so much homework this week. Actually I just have a lot of high demand classes this semester so I'm busy with that.
Work is going so great right now! It's of course super busy but I have so many cases that are really progressing well. Lots of adoptions that are getting ready to finalize which is super but again lots of paperwork to do for each. I also have to work an extra 8 hours a week for my internship. So I have to work 48 hours a week and I'm gone from my office all day on Monday. So you do the math. I'm working long days, skipping lunch and still doing some work on the weekends. NO FUN!
My adoption stuff is moving along nicely. I think my dossier packet will be in to the agency around mid March. Then I will just have to wait on approval from immigration. Once that is granted I'm officially a waiting parent. Exciting times.
My dad is still in town which is fabulous. I've had a good time having him visit. Lena my dog LOVES him! She is very funny with him. She has to be up his butt all the time following him around. Crazy dog.
Dad goes home tomorrow and my aunts show up! I'm excited to see them all. They are coming for Heather's birthday party. It should be a good time. I'm excited. Kelci is coming with Heather too this weekend so it should be a fun and full house!
Wow time is just flying by! Work and school are keeping me crazy busy!!! I hardly have time to blog and that is scary! So let's do a quick review...
1. Today is my sister Heather's 20th birthday!!!!
2. My dad is in town from Texas to celebrate! He will be here until Saturday morning.
3. I had my home study meeting on Tuesday morning and it went amazingly well! I'm gonna be a mom and that just feels freaking wonderful to write!
4. I somehow managed to gain three pounds this week. I think something has to be wrong with the scale or something. I had a really good week! I worked out, ate okay and drank lots of water. On my scale I had lost 2 1/2 but I got to WW and gained three??? I don't know what that is about...
5. I got an A on my first test in my research class.
It's been another good weekend here! Heather came home!!! I missed her. I'm gonna get spoiled seeing here. I am going to visit her Wednesday evening for her birthday and then she is coming home again next weekend so we can have her big birthday party and so she can get her passport. I'm okay with being spoiled though.
I've got so much homework to do this weekend. I worked on it for quite awhile yesterday but I still have so much to do today. My online class is kicking my butt. The instructor gives so much busy work! So frustrating.
I should probably quit complaining about it and just get to it.
I'm always looking for new music. I love independent artists and those that aren't so "popular" yet. I think it is because they are still hungry. Or maybe because they haven't conformed to a labels requirements yet. They just seem to be playing music they love and that makes it very appealing to me. There is a great site out there that showcases these artists. The site www.unsigned.com has a great selection of lots of unsigned artists. There is something in about every genre you can image. I'm sure you will find something that you like. Whether you are looking for country bands, rock bands or Progressive Bands they have it. I've had so much fun browsing this site and locating some fresh new music!
Tomorrow Darby and I go to get our passports! Heather and Kelci go next week!!! I can't believe it. We are actually going to Greece. Even though the tickets are already paid for I still feel like the passports make it officially. We are actually going to take a really awesome all girl's vacation to GREECE!!! Hurry up May 29th! I'm ready to go now!
I do have a power of attorney. I think that it is a really important thing to have. So many people my age do not have a power of attorney. I think to many people have the misconception that you should be old to have one. Anything can happen to anyone at anytime. There is no gaurantee that tomorrow I won't walk outside and get hit by a bus. We just never know. You can get a Power of Attorney Form very easily. It just takes a matter of moments.
I'm so frustrated with our parking situation at work! I have to park in metered parking which is a pain. I just went out to feed the meter and had a ticket on my car! I was about 2 minutes late. The guy was pulling away as I was walking out the door. I swear that little freak just sits in the parking lot watching until our meters run out. Does he have no where else to go???? I even set the alarm on my phone so I wouldn't forget today and still I was late. Damn phone calls! So now I get to pay another $5.00 ticket!!!
Heather my lovely sister will be 20 years old next week! It's hard to believe that it's gone that quickly. So I'm looking for some funny cards for her special day. I have managed to find some free funny eCards online. Egreetings.com has a great selection of birthday cards that I'm going to choose from. I will be able to personalize the cards to fit Heather which is nice. And for the first 30 days of my membership it is FREE. After that it's only $13.99 a year so that isn't bad at all. So I'm off to hunt for the right card!
It's my duty as a friendly blogger to share some great blogs with you that I've stumbled across.
Melissa's Place is a great little personal blog. Melissa is expecting a baby and will be using a midwife which I think is way cool and brave! I will be going back to follow her pregnancy journey.
You will have to go visit Key West Or Bust! After visiting and reading her movie review I was able to delete one movie from my Netflix Que! Glad I checked in so now I won't waste my time watching a not so good movie!
Over at lifes-like-that there is some exciting stuff going on! Home renovations can be frustrating and a bit stressful but I always think it's exciting. There is nothing like the payoff of the finished result!
Autumn's Space is a place I will be visiting again. It doesn't sound like she has experienced the same type of winter I have. It's been anything but mild here. What I would give for just 2-4 inches of snow at this point!
As I told you earlier PayPerPost has made a lot of changes lately. One that that hasn't changed is that you can still get paid to blog! And lately I've been getting paid more than ever. PayPerPost has made the move to something called segmentation. I was pretty scared about segmentation originally but it has ended up being a great thing.
What segmentation does is that it allows advertisers to set requirements for the types of blogs that take their ads. Some advertisers want high traffic blogs to post their ads which makes sense. And when they make those requirements they pay more! There are opportunities now for $35, $90, and even a $1000 opportunity. So I'm not scared anymore, segmentation is paying!
Aside from the extra money that segmentation allows I think it also produces better blogging. Bloggers are doing more to increase their PR. It may be blogging more often, blogging in a more professional manner, or connecting with other bloggers. They are really increasing the quality of their posts and that is nice to see. Disclosure is now required for all bloggers also so it's easy to know what is an add and what is not.
Ugh I hurt so bad today from my workout at the gym yesterday morning! I moved up on all my weights and I can feel it today! I woke up this morning and hurt EVERYWHERE! No fun. But I think that is a good sign. No pain no gain right.... Hopefully the pay off will show up when I weigh in on Monday!
PayPerPost is going crazy now. There are more opportunities and new things going on there. It's an exciting time. I'm making more money then I ever have before and there seems to be even more bloggers using the forums and visiting one another's blogs. PayPerPost recently made some changes and I'm excited about them. Change is a good thing and I think the changes will be good for PayPerPost as a company and good for us bloggers as well.
One of the exciting changes that I really like is the opportunity to participate in a program called Review My Post. With this program I can place a little button on any of my posts that you can click to Review My Post. What happens is when you join PayPerPost through that Review My Post button PayPerPost will pay you to review what I have written. Pretty cool for you and me both.
I know that some people aren't interested in blog ads. I understand that. It isn't the right fit for everyone. But with Review My Post you can put the button on your regular posts and still make some money without having to do ads or paid posts. PayPerPost can still help you make a little extra cash and that is always a nice thing.
It's not just Valentine's Day today folks. I know you may be distracted by flowers and candy but there are other things going on in the world. Today is the day that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is released! For some people that is a bigger even then Valentine's Day. This year marks 43 years of this issue. Hard to believe isn't it? Now on the Sports Illustrated website you can get cell phone wallpapers of the swimsuit models on top of viewing the issue. There are wallpapers of Heidi Klum, Elle MacPherson, and Molly Sims. My brother would be in heaven with those girls on his cell phone.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! So far I've received Valentine's from my Dad and Cricket, my Aunt Donna and Caden! Caden is winning for the most original Valentine. His was handmade, had sparkles, and he is 2. So that always wins. That kid is great! Maybe I should take him out tonight since I don't have any other date lined up...
My friend Becki called me today to let me know that I made her week. She saw one of my posts awhile back about www.soaps.com and has been visiting regularly. She had to have her cable shut off for a week while new wiring and some other things were being done at her place. So she has been visiting the website to stay on top of her favorite soap. She has been checking in each day for Young and the Restless Spoilers and has been able to stay in the loop. So tomorrow when her cable is back on she won't be lost. I'm glad that I was able to do a good deed with the help of my sponsor www.soaps.com.
I have to send a big thank you to Barb at Skittles' Place. She contributed to my Relay For Life Campaign! I really appreciate her taking the time and spending the money to help me as I walk for such a great cause. So stop by her place and let her know that I sent you and I say THANKS!!!!
I'm always looking for good ways to promote my blogs. And I always like it when it is free and fun! www.Outpost-Earth.com offers all of that! What you do is go and visit to start with. Then you very simply sign up for free! What's cool is that you get to pick the categories that your blog is listed in. If they don't have a category for your blog then you can suggest one. Other users can find you in the category section which is nice. But what is even better is that as you update your blog you get even more exposure on the home page. So the more you update the more exposure you get which means more traffic for you! Again it's free! I'm signing up and I hope you do too. Maybe I'll see you at www.Outpost-Earth.com.
More snow is falling! YUCK! Yesterday it rained all day. Rain was nice. Rain meant it wasn't freezing which is a first in almost 30 days. But now it's below freezing and all the rain has now frozen. And now that it is snowing we have a wonderful layer of snow on top of the sheet of ice. Nice! I'm really getting sick of winter!!!
I have so many clients with drug and alcohol problems right now. Almost half of my case load has some type of drug and alcohol issue that is contributing or causing the problems in their family. Many of my clients need drug rehabilitation but I'm having a difficult time finding suitable facilities. There are lots of drug rehabilitation programs out there but there aren't very many great treatment facilites. I have located a facility called Stone Hawk that looks really amazing! I wish I could get some of my clients in there. What I like about Stone Hawk is that the program can last from 4-6 months. I think this is essential to patient success. To often programs offer just 28 days and then they are out and struggling on their own. By having the longer stay I think it can help them maintain their sobriety.
Last night I couldn't sleep. I finally got up at 4 because I couldn't take laying in bed awake anymore. So I was up from about 4-6. At 6 I think I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to the phone ringing and before I even opened my eyes I thought... "I didn't go to work"! Sure enough it was Libby my boss. It was 9 and I wasn't at work and we had an adoption staffing at 9 that I was in charge of. I did a mad rush to get ready and made it to the office by 9:20. Libby wasn't upset but I am. What in the hell is wrong with me? I don't know why I can't get it together. I feel like I'm more out of sorts now than I was right after my mom died. I don't understand what is happening to me...
I get lots of unknown calls on my phone. I hate when caller id pops up with unavailable or out of area instead of a name. In fact it is one of my biggest pet peeves. I just like to know who is calling. I know I could just answer and find out but what if it's a client and I don't want to talk to a client at 8:00 on a Friday night. There is now a site that can help me and you eliminate the frustration of unknown cell phone calls. Now you can actually use Reverse Cell Phone Look Up! So maybe I can figure out which numbers are clients and which are people I wouldn't mind talking too....
Well I went to weigh in and I am a bit disappointed. I stayed the same! I know I should be happy. That means I didn't gain anything. So that is a good thing. But I really wanted to lose at least a pound. I'm stuck at 9 1/2 pounds. My first short term goal was 10 pounds and it is just taunting me. UGH! The frustrations of the fat kid!!!
I'm finally having my backyard fenced in. As soon as the ground softens a bit the crew will be getting started. I'm excited to have it done so I can get out there and get it landscaped. One thing I really want to focus on is outdoor lighting. I think too often people are worried about interior lighting and miss out on the benefits of good lighting in their yard. It not only increases safety but it also increases property value and it looks really sharp. So I'm adding some lighting.
I have some lights for the walkways and flower beds. They are solar powered which is nice. But I would really like a nice outdoor post light. I found one that I really like here. But there are so many different styles that I'm having a hard time picking one. It's good I still have some time till I have to make a final decision.
Things aren't going quite right today. I woke up this morning on time and okay. But in the shower I just started getting upset. I couldn't get myself to stop crying. I really miss my mom. I just have so many things to tell her. I headed to class but now I'm sitting in the computer lab. I had to leave class because I was crying to much to focus. I'm debating if I'm going home for the day or if I'm gonna try to stick it out and hope I'm doing better by my next class period.
I just don't understand this. I know grief is crazy but I've been doing better. Then it just hits me like a ton of bricks. There is no rhyme or reason to it! While the breakdowns are getting further apart the intensity seems to be increasing when they do hit. It makes no sense to me. I called Heather and she said she got upset last night and that she feels the same way about the time between and the intensity. So at least I'm not crazy crazy since she is having the same problem. But dang it's hard to comprehend. No day is really WONDERFUl but they have for the most part been manageable lately and then WHAM now I'm crying in the computer lab and can't calm myself down.
I'm beginning to wonder if this is how it will just be for the rest of my life. Will I forever have days like this on occassion where I just can't believe she is gone. Will I ever quit missing her so desperately? I would give anything for a ten minute conversation with her. I would just talk fast and try to cram as much in as I could. I think part of this is just accepting that even though I really like to be in control of my emotions I can't be all the time. I really have no pride left anymore. It doesn't bother me to cry in class or to have random strangers see me a mess. What bothers me is that I don't know when it is coming. I can't prepare for it at all. I just wander through life and it suprises me. A sneak attack of grief and chaos and crying fits.
Well if you are Jewish there is now a dating site for you. There is a dating site that is focused on helping Jewish Singles find the love of their life. And if you don't find the love of your life there is a good chance you might make a new friend. And that's never a bad thing. One thing that I was impressed with as I was looking this site over is that they seem to have a wide age range of users. So chances are you could find someone close to your age which is a good thing. Sometimes these sites have a ton of 20 something users and not many that are a tad older than that. You can join for free and they do have a great search feature to help you find a solid match. So get signed up! You might end up with a date before Valentine's Day!
Wow it's been a busy weekend. I felt like I spent all day yesterday running. I got up early and went to water aerobics with my friend Whitney. We got in a little bit of trouble with some older ladies there. It seems we used their lockers. I thought they were public lockers but it seems they have been using them for 30 years so they have the right to claim them I suppose. Lesson learned there!
After that I went to the mall with Darby and Chris and Caden. Caden got old time pictures taken that were really CUTE! He is such a fun little boy. I hope I get a little boy as fun as him some day. They also had a Zumba demonstration at the mall. Darby and I didn't join in but we did watch. They did a great job.
Cleaned house like a crazy woman in the afternoon. The social worker will be coming to do another homestudy meeting soon and I want the house to look really nice. I know I'm over doing it but I'd rather it be too clean than not clean enough. Crazy I know!
Lee came by in the evening and hung out for awhile. Lee was one of my mom's best friends and he was a pall bearer. I actually hadn't seen him since the funeral! That's been awhile. So it was nice to get caught up with him. I still had his Christmas present so I gave him that. Now the present closet is cleaned out!
I've spent most of today doing homework. YUCK! I feel like I spend more time doing busy work than anything. One of my online classes is very much filled with busy work. I have no problem writing papers, researching things, taking quizzes. I will do about anything if I see the point. But some of the stuff he assigns is such nonsense. It's frustrating to me.
I just can't stop myself. I found another great option for Valentine's Day! This site Coupon Chief offers wonderful coupons for some great online stores. They have coupons for places like gap.com and Target. So if you hurry you could order your gift online and save some money. Then with the money you save you could get an even bigger bouquet of flowers! Good deals!!!
I'm in a sharing mood today so I thought I would share a few good blogs with you. I would encourage you to take a moment to visit, leave comments and make some new friends!
Lisa runs My Thoughts, Ideas, and Ramblings. This is a great personal blog. Lisa has a fun sense of humor and is great about helping other bloggers connect with one another. Lubyvision is another great blog on a new domain! So many brave people lately. I'm just not with it enough computer wise to go to my own domain. There are some pictures of a leather couch on this blog that I would love to have!
Deb has a really festive blog! She has a wonderful Valentine's template going on. All the hearts make me happy.
So that's what I got folks! I hope you find a new blog you like!!!
Well because I'm so helpful regarding Valentine's Day advice I thought I would help you all out a little more. Flowers are an important part of scoring points on Valentine's Day. And to make things a little easier for you there is even online flower delivery! It doesn't get much easier than that. I personally think the bouquet below is absolutely beautiful! You are bound to score some points with that!
Okay I thought that I was a girl with a lot of hobbies. I tend to have my hands in a little bit of everything. But I've found someone that officially has to have more hobbies than anyone I have ever met. I don't know how Cass has time to keep up with so many different hobbies. And Cass doesn't just have her hobbies she also blogs about a bunch of her hobbies. She is a very busy gal to say the least! To find Cass just stop by one of her great blogs listed below!
A few of my favorite things include cool websites, free things, and puzzles! I admit it. I spend a lot of time on all of those things. In fact probably a little to much time but everyone has to have some hobbies! And lucky for you all I like to share my hobbies. I was sitting at work today and got the breaking news email from CNN. Anna Nicole Smith collapsed and died in her hotel room! What a shocker!!! I never would have imagined that she would collapse in a hotel room. What an unexpected end for a celebrity... Anna may have only been 39 years old but she taught us all many lessons in her short time on earth...
Let's Review!
1. She taught us how to go from a frumpy young mom waiting tables in a crappy diner to a playboy model!
2. She taught us how money may not but happiness but it can buy you an amazing set of boobs!
3. She taught us that old men with money really do make the best husbands of all!
4. She taught us that if someone contests your inheritance fight like crazy... eventually the people contesting it will die too.
5. She taught us that maybe you shouldn't have children so far apart in age because it could cause the older kid to die.
6. She taught us that you should always make sure you know who your baby's daddy is!
7. She taught us that if a potential baby's daddy wants to see said baby you should hide in a foreign country.
8. She taught us that if your lawyer's bills get to high you should marry said lawyer, show him your expensive boobs and then get free legal advice!
9. She taught us that when hiding in a foreign country from a baby's daddy you should pay your rent!
10. She taught us that in the end money, boobs, baby's daddy's and foreign countries don't save you... It takes way more than that to save you from dying on a hotel floor.

I know it's supposed to be wordless but I'm a rule breaker... Today is the one year anniversary of my mom's cancer diagnosis. Hard to believe that a year has passed! A year ago I sat in a room and thought the doctor was crazy when she said that she didn't think my mom had long to live. A year ago I thought somehow they would fix her, make her well... A year ago I thought she would at least live a year or two or maybe five... A year ago I was naive...
This is one of my favorite pictures of my mom. She was so happy that day. She was so happy most days actually. I miss her.... A year ago I didn't think I could live without her. What's funny is that most days I still think I can't live without here but somehow I keep waking up! Miss ya Ma!!!

Well I watched Just Like Heaven last night. The cute movie with Reese Witherspoon. Gotta love her! It was a good movie. Very cute. Nothing to shocking or new or edgy but a cute feel good movie. So if you are needing to feel good you ought to watch it. If you are wanting a movie that is edge of your seat kind of wonderful it's not the movie for you....
Today I got an email about cheap plane tickets to Italy. I would love to visit! Heck if I had a ton of money I would love to own some property in Italy! But for the time being visiting would be okay with me. I'd love to just go for a few days, stay in a beautiful hotel, eat some actual Italian food and relax! Now that would make me a very happy girl. Cheap plane tickets is a place to start but I'm not sure I could get the time off work....
I think being a girl rocks. There is just something amazing about girls. Women are strong and fierce and emotional and kind and generous and dedicated and determined. It's like girls are a little bit of everything. That fascinates me. Darby and I talk about it often. You couldn't pay me to be a man! I like being a girl.
Well I found a blog that really rocks. It's all about being a girl. It's called Girly Things: why I love being a girl. This is a fabulous blog. Not only does it celebrate why being a girl rocks it also connects you with lots of other female bloggers. Gotta love that. From this blog I've found several other great female blogs. So pay it a visit and celebrate the fact that you are a girl!
Now that I'm planning on having a baby I've started looking at kid furniture. I'm not buying anything yet but I'm on the hunt for the right furniture for the bedroom and for around the house. Something kid friendly. But I'm starting to notice that kid friendly means my house is going to start looking like a cartoon freak show! I don't like that. I want stuff that is appropriate for a child but still has some style and class to it. I found a site that has some items I like. They aren't silly looking but they are made for kids.
They have quite a bit of kids bedroom furniture but they also have this adorable chair that I love! I think the chair is modern looking, will blend well with my adult furniture and is still kid sized! No cartoon characters but still little. We all win!!! That makes me very happy.
Well last night I walked in the door and my Heather greeted me! I was so dang happy to see her face. It's been three weeks since she went back to school and that caused me to have considerable sister withdrawal symptoms. So I'm thrilled to have her here.
We went shopping for a bit last night and went out to dinner. I think we talked nonstop for about four hours trying to get all caught up. Cellphones don't cut it for us. There are always a million things that don't get said on the phone so we have to do it in person. Then when we got home we watched three weeks of Dirt episodes. We love that show!
This morning I went to my Grandma and Grandpa and Tom and Phyllis. Heather was supposed to go with me but she woke up sick. I think she has a flu bug. And according to her "bugs suck". So she is sleeping it off in bed today. Hopefully she will be feeling better tomorrow.
Well the bestest blog carnival is up over at Ramblings Of An Undisturbed Mind. Again another wonderful carnival. I'm going to spend my evening visiting and reading and hopefully commenting. Thanks to those that have already visited my blog!
Student loans are ridiculous! I have a lot of student loans. I'll be paying on them for the rest of my life. That's just my reality. But recently I took the time to sit down and do a Student Loan Consolidation. It did take awhile to do but it is so worth it. It's going to save me a lot of money in interest over the next 40 years or so. And it makes it easier to manage your loans. Now all of mine are in the same spot. It was worth the time and effort!
My brother Shawn is celebrating his 30th birthday today!!! Happy Birthday Brother! He actually is at work right now so no big parties for him tonight. And he has a new baby that is sick right now and pretty fussy so no big parties for him tomorrow night either. I guess the growing up thing isn't working out so well for him huh... But anyways I hope he has a great day!
Okay I found another dating site and it's pretty unique! It's called prescription4love.com and it is a dating site for people with medical conditions. So if you have some type of disease you can get a date with someone else with that disease. Very different and new. I've never heard of a site like that. Luckily I'm healthy but hey if you aren't you can still get a date!
1. Grad school is very expensive! 2. Supposedly it is worth the expense. 3. It never fails to be either raining or incredibly cold every time I go to class. 4. Some instructors are very boring! 5. Others are pretty dang funny! 6. Grad school is the first time I've ever enjoyed school. 7. I don't however enjoy all the busy work. 8. Or the fact that textbooks are so expensive. 9. This semester I'm taking two classes on campus. 10. I'm also taking two classes online. 11. I'm liking my online classes more than my on campus classes. 12. I feel like I've been in school for a really long time. 13. I only have three semesters left and then I graduate!
